A 26-year-old roofing worker passed away May 11 in Marshall, Mich., and a 40-year-old roofing worker passed away May 20 in Palatine, Ill., after fatal falls off roofs.
The unnamed roofing worker in Marshall was working on a roof and fell headfirst onto a concrete driveway while throwing shingles into a dumpster, according to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The roofing worker was taken to the hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The unnamed roofing worker in Palatine fell from the roof of a five-story multifamily condominium residential building, according to Cardinal News. The roofing worker was pronounced deceased at the scene.
